One of the best current Slovak race drivers – 19-year old Mato Homola showed his pace at the Austrian Salzburgring, too. After summing up the results of this race weekend of European Touring Car Cup FIA ETCC, Mato finished on great second position. In both races he managed to finish right behind Russian racer – Nikolaj Karamyshev.
Mato Homola, Slovak race driver, has after the victory at Slovakia Ring a big challenge coming up. This weekend, he and his team Homola Motorsport will race at FIA ETCC Salzburgring. This third round of FIA ETCC race is particularly important for Homola Motorsport, as Mato is with 21 points on 4th place in TC2T class only 13 points behind Russian race driver Karamyshev.
Slovak hero, race driver, Mato Homola did an awesome job at Slovakia Ring, at our home race track, where won the whole FIA ETCC race weekend. Starting with Saturday Mato won Qualifying session as he was the fastest out of 26 race drivers from 10 European countries. Mato's line of victory continued on Sunday morning, when he also won the warm-up.
Yesterday, there was a press conference at Hotel Kempinski, right next to the river Danube, before this weekends' event – World Touring Car Championship FIA WTCC 2014 at Slovakia Ring. The main attraction from the visitors point of view will be definitely 9-times WRC Champion Sebastian Loeb, who together with our great Slovak representant - Mato Homola – Vice Champion of European Touring Car Cup FIA ETCC – invited all the fans to Slovakia Ring.
